NHS Trust rated one of ‘Best Employers for Race 2017’

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust has been placed on the ‘Best Employers for Race 2017’ list by Business in the Community (BITC).

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust is the only NHS organisation among the 66 on the list. It features alongside other organisations, including the BBC and the Secret Intelligence Service.

The successful organisations featured on the list had to demonstrate that they are driving change at an organisational level and creating inclusive workplace cultures of people from a Black and Minority Ethnic (BAME) background.

This comes after the trust has been named in the Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers list.

Simon Gilby, chief executive, said: “I am very proud that our trust has been recognised on BITC’s ‘Best Employers for Race 2017’ list.

“This is a great achievement for the trust as this demonstrates our focus on improving progression and retention of our BAME people and commitment to being a more diverse and inclusive workplace.”
