Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust is planning to build upon its global digital exemplar (GDE) status and establish a digital control centre.
Having issued a notice on 23 May to find a supplier to create a centre that focuses on data analytics and digital health, the trust aims to develop a digital control centre that could potentially be incorporated across the wider NHS.
The prior information notice said: “Salford Royal is looking to the future of healthcare and wants to establish a digital control centre, bringing the latest advances in data analytics and digital health to achieve a world-leading organisation.”
Having been chosen as a GDE acute trust in September, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust will receive £10 million in central funding - although the digital control centre plans is a local initiative.
