Welsh Health Secretary Vaughan Gething has agreed to provide £4.48 million of funding for a new computer dispatch system for ambulances in Wales.
The funding will allow the Welsh Ambulance Service to upgrade their existing computer systems, in a move which it is hope will help deliver faster ambulance response times.
Gething said: “In Wales we have seen real improvements in ambulance response times; it's an area where we are leading the way in the UK. The new and improved dispatch system will help the Welsh Ambulance Service to continue to improve and to provide a service that is fit for the future.”
