More EU nurses leaving NHS than joining

New figures have revealed that the number of European nurses leaving the NHS is still outpacing the number attracted from the continent.

According to NHS Digital, 3,675 nurses and health visitors quit NHS hospitals and community health services in the year to March, while 2,375 joined.

It is widely reported that the NHS still has approximately 40,000 nursing vacancies, with further fears that Brexit will cause the supply to dry up.
