The Care Quality Commission has rated the services provided by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust as Good, representing an improvement on their last inspection.
At this latest inspection, which took place in May and June this year, the service was rated as Requires Improvement for safe and Good for effective, caring, responsive and well led. The overall rating for responsive improved from Requires Improvement to Good., in part due to inspectors being able to see that the service treated concerns and complaints seriously, investigated them and learned lessons from the results, and shared these with all staff.
Angela Monaghan, chair of the trust, said: “Everyone has worked hard to deliver on the actions from the last report and staff and must be congratulated for their efforts. We are delighted that we have been rated as ‘Good’ overall.
“As a learning organisation, we are always seeking to improve and we will focus on what we now need to do to ensure issues identified are addressed and our good services are sustained. We will also continue to do whatever we can to make sure that service users, carers and families are supported and receive the best care and experience possible.”
Paul Lelliott, Deputy Chief Inspector of Hospitals, said: “This latest inspection represents good progress from the last inspection in March and April 2018. The trust had taken on board concerns we raised and worked hard to improve. There are still areas that need attention but overall South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust has performed well since the last inspection and I congratulate all concerned.”

UK Building Regulations highlight toxic gas and smoke from layers of paint built up over multiple redecorations as a major cause of permanent ill health or death in a building fire.
Their concern rose with discovery the flame retardant paints most widely used paint along escape routes have been ones which to this day counter-productively use emission of heavy toxic gas to smother flames which rapidly spread along walls if layers of paint delaminate in a fire.
