Workshops launched to help NHS trusts implement new agency rules

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) will host a number of workshops to help NHS trusts implement new agency rules on temporary staff.

The government has introduced new rules that aim to reduce the growing spend on agency staff, and NHS Improvement has confirmed that all five CCS frameworks are part of their approved list for agency staff.

This includes: RM971 ‘Non-Medical Non-Clinical’, RM1570 ‘Locum Doctors’, RM3711 ‘Multidisciplinary Temporary Healthcare Personnel’, RM970 ‘Agency Nurses and Social Care Workers’ and RM959 ‘Allied Health Professionals and Health science and Emergency Services staff’.

The workshops organised by CCS aim to help trusts to use these frameworks to meet their obligations under the new rules. They will focus on data analysis and key trends, how to manage the agency rules and how to call-off from the CCS frameworks.

They will be held at four locations across the country: Bristol, Tuesday 17 May, 10am to 12.30pm; Manchester, Tuesday 17 May, 10am to 12.30pm; Birmingham, Wednesday 18 May, 10am to 12.30pm; and London, Thursday 19 May, 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 4pm

Those looking to attend can book a place by emailing healthteam-workforce@crowncommercial.gov.uk.
