Croydon trust awards £41m cleaning contract

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust has agreed a contract with G4S, worth £41 million, to provide cleaning services to eight sites from 8 May 2017.

Covering a period of seven years, G4S will deliver cleaning, pest control and portering services to the trust, which aims to meet the strict reporting and hygiene standards that all NHS sites demand.

The company’s Synbiotix software will help monitor cleanliness standards and compliance within the healthcare environment, as well as provide a more efficient and transparent visualisation of reporting and auditing processes.

Allan Morley, director of estates and facilities at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, said: “We are a busy NHS trust and it is crucial that we have extremely high standards of cleanliness, as well as efficient portering to ensure all of our patients are safely transported around our sites.”

The Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provides acute and community healthcare services to 380,000 people across Croydon.
