Outsourcing company Serco has landed a £600 million contract to manage facilities for Bart Health NHS Trust in London.
Under the terms of the contract, the company will manage cleaning, linen, catering and pest control services, among other things, across five of Barts’ sites in east London.
Barts Health NHS Trust was created in April 2012 following the merger of Barts and The London NHS Trust, Newham University Hospital NHS Trust and Whipps Cross University Hospital NHS Trust, and serves around 2.5 million people in the capital.
