Patients and visitors coming to Warrington and Halton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will now be able to connect to free Wi-Fi, following a £200,000 grant from NHS Digital to commission it.
NHS Wifi provides a secure, stable, and reliable Wi-Fi capability, consistent across all NHS settings and will allow patients and the public to download health apps, browse the internet and access health and care information.
Having been selected as one of 16 national pilot sites, the new connectivity will also patients to self-check-in for appointments via their phone, receive notifications of and view appointments, receive real time hospital messages and update personal details.
