Jobcentre Plus (JCP) has launched its week long campaign to encourage partnerships between the NHS and their local JCP.
Jobs with a Pulse enables NHS organisations access to a talent pool of passionate jobseekers. It is hoped that the campaign will enable trusts to find new ways to help tackle their workforce supply issues.
In 2013, South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, which serves a population in excess of 1.5 million across Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas, undertook a partnership with JCP to offer 12 weeks of work experience to JCP candidates. Through the Prospect programme, South Tees has established an 86 per cent employment rate for learners and offered work experience to 222 unemployed local people, of which 191 have moved into full time employment.
