Monitor announces formation of new advisory panels

The health regulator Monitor has announced that chairs and chief executives from across the NHS are being brought together to advise NHS Improvement.

NHS Improvement, led by Monitor and the NHS Trust Development Authority and other teams, will be advised by two panels including one made up of current NHS chief executives and another of current NHS chairs.

The panels will meet every few months to provide feedback on measures which are working well within their own organisations, in addition to offering advice on new plans and proposals designed to improve services.

The panels will operate alongside NHS Providers and the NHS Confederation, combining representatives from across the NHS, from acute, specialist, ambulance, community and mental health providers.
