A pilot taking place in Leeds is allowing information about flu vaccinations to be sent from pharmacies to GP practices.
Through the NHS Digital-run pilot, electronic notifications about patients who have had their flu vaccination in a pharmacy will be sent securely to their GP via clinical systems, saving time for GP practices and pharmacies, as well as helping to improve data quality and reduce the possibility of errors.
Community pharmacies and GP practices in Leeds are the first in the country to send and receive notifications in this way.
If the success of the pilot continues, NHS Digital will work towards rolling out the service nationally later this year - initially for PharmOutcomes and SystmOne users and then for other suppliers, following similar pilot schemes.

UK Building Regulations highlight toxic gas and smoke from layers of paint built up over multiple redecorations as a major cause of permanent ill health or death in a building fire.
