To celebrate the start of National Careers Week, a new survey has revealed that 66 per cent of Londoners would consider a career in the NHS.
New research has shown that as many as 85 per cent of Londoners feel the pandemic has made them more appreciative of the work of NHS staff. The new research also highlighted that 84 per cent of people acknowledged that a career within the NHS would be extremely rewarding.
To mark National Careers Week, the NHS in London is encouraging those due to leave education or contemplating a career change to consider utilising the opportunities and training programmes available within the NHS.
Jane Clegg, Chief Nurse for the NHS in London, said: “Throughout the pandemic, our staff have truly shown their passion and dedication towards colleagues and the patients they care for. We have supported thousands of patients and families when they have needed it most, and have been able to do so due to the collaborative nature of our teams.
“If you are considering a change of career, the breadth of roles available within the NHS mean there really is something for everyone as we continue to bring our health service from strength to strength. The variety of opportunities available may help you find a new passion and there is no better time to join us than now.”
