King’s shuts hospitals over Norovirus fears

King’s College Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has shut all wards to visitors at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) because of a small outbreak of Norovirus in the hospital.

PRUH also had to shut its doors to visitors in October 2017 as a precaution to prevent the virus from spreading to other patients after discovering a small number of patients with Norovirus at the hospital.

Norovirus symptoms usually last for between 24 and 48 hours, and most people recover very quickly.
