NHS Open Space has announced that it will be expanding its property portfolio, with the NHS Property Services’ scheme now able to offer 950 spaces across 150 sites in England, spanning all seven of its regions.
The expansion supports NHSPS in its mission to maximise the health and wellbeing services on offer in local communities across the country. With a wider range of health, wellbeing and community services using local health hubs, we will also be able to optimise the use of NHS space, while bringing much needed money back into health care system.
NHS Property Services has said that it will continue to expand on NHS Open Space allowing health and well-being providers, as well as business owners the flexibility to hire clinical and non-clinical spaces within its sites. With over 160,000 bookings already received through the scheme, this latest expansion comes after the launch of a new online booking system developed in line with customer feedback.
Christopher King, Principal Strategic Asset Manager at NHSPS, said: “I am delighted to be able to announce yet another expansion of NHS Open Space this year. We have seen more than 950,000 hours of care provided to patients across England with this scheme, showing just how vital a range of services are to local communities. From counselling and physiotherapy to vaccine administration, we hope to enable excellent patient care and deliver on the Long-Term Plan through our spaces.”
